The way I understand this quote is that it talks about people who never wanted to try their luck and give a chance to see if everything will work out this time. They may have experienced hurt and disappointments and are afraid to feel the pain again so they rather live in misery that take the risk of being happy.
When we lose hope, we lose everything, we stop trying, we become miserable. Because of this, I’ll share you this wonderful bible verse:
Not only so, but we also rejoice in our sufferings, because we know that suffering produces perseverance; character; and hope. And hope does not disappoint us, because God has poured out his love into our hearts by the Holy Spirit, whom he has given us.
We may have pains and struggles right now but never ever lose hope. You can be happy if you believe that all is just temporary, even our pains! That is if we fight for happiness. And how do we do it? Have faith, be strong, learn from the past and keep trying.
Like we always promote in this blog, happiness is just a thought away. Remember happiness is a by product and a choice.
