Today I’m writing this blog on Mother’s day and it’s a very good timing that I found this lovely quote. As a parent, what we can give to our children are very limited to our capacity and what we believe is good for them. Yes we can provide them a shelter, an education, their materials needs and so on.
As we age, when time becomes short, it’s the time when we think what would our children inherit from us. Generally we give them our lifetime earnings and assets.
Now let’s talk about our son. Sooner or later he will grow up to be a man and search for the right woman to be his partner in life. As much as possible, we want to be involved in finding the right daughter-in-law who will make our son happy but even as we can, it will still depend on our son’s destiny.
Finding the right wife is not realized before marriage but when you have lived your life with her. You may ask what is a prudent wife? A prudent wife thinks before she acts and considers the consequences of her actions. She is careful and makes sound judgement. Most of all, the Lord has done a work in her heart to be a loving wife to her husband and to her children.
Live happily with the woman you love through all the meaningless days of life that God has given you under the sun. The wife God gives you is your reward for all your earthly toil. Ecclesiastes 9:9
This bible verse tells us when we work hard for God’s glory, we are rewarded with a loving wife who will make us happy and thankful. You cannot get a good wife with your money or fame, nor depending on your own instincts. All has to be from following God ‘s will and asking Him for guidance.
