Many times we find out that someone has just made a positive or negative opinion about our work, our background and even our attitude. Most of the time those remarks came from gossip or personal judgement based on our appearance and attitude. We can simply say that what they think about us are merely more about what they see in the outside and make opinions that came from their impressions.
Kindness is giving something good without expecting anything in return. When we give freely, it releases neurotransmitters that make us feel good when we do acts of kindness. But don’t you know one of the foremost and easiest thing we can give is a warm smile?
When we make decisions like choosing a product, getting a new car, a place to live, getting a job and anything that’s life changing-we usually look for other people’s opinion. That can be manifested through reading reviews or simply asking people directly what they think is best.
I always encounter people who talk too much about many things they know. Sometimes I joke of finding in them things that they don’t know but still, they manage to take themselves to the center of the conversation.
Is there something right now you regret? Did you just made a mistake in front of other people? Or some kind of embarrassing situation you got into?
You sometimes want unfavorable happenings being kept to yourself. But did you know that not letting bad experiences out could produce depression and insecurities?
The way I understand this quote is that it talks about people who never wanted to try their luck and give a chance to see if everything will work out this time. They may have experienced hurt and disappointments and are afraid to feel the pain again so they rather live in misery that take the risk of being happy.
Now wait a minute! How can I cheer myself up by cheering somebody else first?
There are a hundred ways to cheer yourself up but don’t you know making others happy has a very great benefit to you as well?
This is a beautiful quote from Saint Francis of Assisi, an Italian friar and preacher. When I first read this quote, I realized if others can do it, so do I. But not all the time! We have different abilities and situations that can block our way in doing what others can.
Don’t show off every day, or you’ll stop surprising people. There must always be some novelty left over.
The person who displays a little more of it each day keeps up expectations, and no one ever discovers the limits of his talent.
