When someone wants to know you when it comes to credibility, it’s inevitable to look back on things you have done with your life in the past. We have a common perception that if a person had done those things in the past then it follows that he can do it again in the future.
It’s also supported by the bible in Luke 16:10 “”Whoever can be trusted with very little can also be trusted with much, and whoever is dishonest with very little will also be dishonest with much”.
But the Lord always invite us to repentance and wants us to learn from our mistakes by opening our eyes to the consequences of choosing the wrong path that we don’t know how bad it would affect others and our life. When we open our hearts to His invitation, we become a new and better person capable of being honest, strong and wiser.
Remember that it would take some time for other people to realize how sorry you are for those mistakes and the best way to start is to keep yourself busy in doing the right and honest things in life.
Don’t give up when stubborn people don’t believe you have changed for the better. Leave that problem to them because the majority will still see and appreciate how GOOD you really have become today.
